Safety Tips for Hot Weather
During the summer we experience mildly warm days and some hot days. Here are some safety tips to protect yourself.
1. Stay Hydrated – drink plenty of water and minimize the amount of caffeine that you drink as this can have the opposite effect.
2. Stay cool – avoid strenuous activity during peak hours, and if you must be outside find shade and wear a wide-brimmed hat can help you stay cool.
3. Protect Yourself - wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing to help the sunlight and heat reflect off. Applying sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher will also help protect your skin from sun damage.
